Claude Code already had one preview setting for them, `consentPreview`, controlled by a flag. A flag is a switch Anthropic's server can turn on remotely. A second preview setting now sits next to it.\n\n- The `mcpServers` getter now also works out `panePreview`, which is controlled by a different flag.\n\n- Each value sticks for the session. Once it turns off, it stays off.\n\n- The two values are combined in one place.\n\n- The per-session state gains `panePreview` and drops `preloadOwedAt`.\n\nWhat the pane preview shows has not been traced.\n\n**Why**\n\nNothing visible changes unless the flag is on. The code suggests a preview of an MCP pane is being prepared.\n\n- Area: MCP\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
