Claude Code uses it when the server answers that the document is too large to replace. This can happen whatever the remote switch below says.\n\n- For replaces that do not use a `local_path`, Claude Code can now send the server an extra value. It only does this when a remote switch is on. That switch is off unless it is turned on remotely. When it is off, the extra value is left empty.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis looks like a change to how large project documents are replaced that is being rolled out in stages. Even without the switch, a replace can now fail with the new too-large refusal.\n\n- Flag `tengu_toasty_owl`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.309; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Projects\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
