Claude Code keeps a record of which skills it has already listed to Claude. Before, resuming a session (picking up an earlier conversation where it left off) rebuilt or cleared that record from the saved conversation. That step is gone.\n\nWhen Claude Code replays the skills that were used earlier in a resumed conversation, it now also notes whether each skill came from an MCP server. MCP servers are outside programs that give Claude extra tools and content.\n\n**Why**\n\nBecause the record of already-listed skills is no longer rebuilt on resume, Claude may be sent the list of available skills again after you resume a session.\n\n- Area: Skills\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
