Claude Code now re-evaluates this setting, through `settlePlanAutoMode`, in two more situations:\n\n- When a session's working directory is changed (`set_cwd`), the setting is settled again for the new directory. If that fails, Claude Code logs 'settling the plan setting for the new directory failed (continuing)' and carries on.\n\n- After a session is relocated (`claim_relocated`), the setting is settled again against the session's current tool permissions.\n\nSeparately, the login and startup paths now reuse an existing organisation check (`orgValidation`) when one is available, and only validate your credentials again when it is not.\n\n**Why**\n\nThe permission mode now follows the directory or place a session has actually moved to, rather than staying as it was set before the move. Login also avoids repeating an organisation check it has already done.\n\n- Area: Permissions\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
