Claude Code has a built-in exploring subagent that is limited to 15 turns and does not load your project instructions. It either runs on Haiku, a smaller and faster model, or uses the same model as your main session.\n\nBefore, it picked Haiku only under a fixed set of conditions. It can now also pick Haiku in a remote session, meaning one running on another machine: when `CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE` is set, `CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE_SESSION_ID` is not empty and one more check passes. A remote setting must still allow it, and when the server sends nothing that setting falls back to allowing it.\n\n**Why**\n\nRemote and cloud sessions may start running this subagent on a cheaper model than your main one.\n\n- Flag `tengu_nimble_wren`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.302; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Subagents\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
