Reftable is a newer way for git to store branch information. The cleanup now handles two things such repositories leave behind:\n\n- a placeholder file at `.git\/refs\/heads`, where a folder is expected, is removed\n\n- a current-branch pointer of `ref: refs\/heads\/.invalid` is changed to `ref: refs\/heads\/main`\n\nBefore, the branch pointer was only removed when it was not a valid reference or commit.\n\n**Why**\n\nIt fixes cloud sessions started from repositories that use the reftable format.\n\n- Area: Cloud Sessions\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
