Claude Code tells Claude how to use the tool with a written description. That description can now be assembled in a second, shorter layout when a certain condition holds. Before, there was only the one long layout.\n\nThe notes given to subagents can also switch to different wording. Examples are that a subagent started earlier cannot be continued, so every call starts fresh, and that a subagent's working folder is reset between shell commands.\n\nThe Agent tool's default description in this release is the same as in v2.1.300.\n\n**Why**\n\nSome sessions could see different instructions for subagents than the default.\n\n- Area: Tool Prompts\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
