One part of it, \"Communicating with the user\", now has a longer alternative version. Claude Code uses that version only when a particular check passes. Otherwise it behaves as before.\n\nThe alternative version covers:\n\n- Writing for a teammate who is slightly out of the loop\n\n- Opening the final answer with a short summary of the outcome\n\n- Dropping filler words such as \"real\" and \"honest\"\n\nAlongside it are further new sections:\n\n- Delivering work\n\n- Corrections\n\n- Handing tasks to subagents (helper agents that Claude starts to work on part of a task)\n\n- Descriptions of each place Claude Code can run: terminal, vscode, desktop, web, mobile, slack, scheduled, github_action, cowork and sdk\n\n- Background Session\n\n- Context management\n\n- Focus mode\n\nIn the standard prompt captures, none of the prompt Claude receives has changed, so this version is not in use by default.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf this version is switched on, it would change the tone and structure of Claude's replies for everyone who gets it.\n\n- Area: System Prompt\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
