The `--mcp-config` flag loads them from JSON files or strings. How those servers are processed changed in several ways.\n\n- Processing now tracks servers kept even though an allowlist (a list of approved servers set by a policy) would otherwise drop them, in `keptDespiteAllowlist`.\n\n- Notes about those kept servers (`keptNotes`) are logged, and printed as warnings on self-hosted runner children. An extra warning from a new helper is also printed.\n\n- Servers configured on the fly are now built one server at a time.\n\n- Connection options (`dialOptions`) are now passed from connection setup into both the required and the normal `--mcp-config` connection paths.\n\nBefore this release, processing returned only the servers, the dropped ones and the reason they were dropped.\n\n**Why**\n\nThe server allowlist now has a way to keep a server anyway, and when that happens you see a notice instead of it happening silently. The connection options change is internal plumbing with no visible effect described.\n\n- Area: MCP\n- Names: `--mcp-config`\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: both\n- Heads-up: no"}
