Claude Code now raises a `prompt.change` hook when the prompt box changes for a reason other than your own typing, such as a plugin or the landing screen filling it in. It only does this if a hook for `prompt.change` is registered.\n\nIf plugins keep filling the box many times in a row, Claude Code logs a warning and stops raising the hook. It starts again once the box changes some other way.\n\n**Why**\n\nPlugins can now react when another plugin edits the prompt. The stop stops two plugins from endlessly triggering each other.\n\n- Area: Hooks\n- Names: `prompt.change`\n- Tier: Use it now\n- Useful: 5\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
