When one reports back, it sends a short summary of how it ended. The instructions given to Claude when it coordinates these helpers now list a fourth possible outcome: the helper is waiting on its own background work. In that case its result may be interim, and it may send another update later.\n\nBefore, the summary could only say a helper:\n\n- finished\n\n- failed, with an error\n\n- was stopped\n\n- stopped at its turn limit\n\n**Why**\n\nClaude, acting as coordinator, is now told that a helper's report may not be final. It can then wait for the follow-up instead of treating the first report as the finished result.\n\n- Area: Subagents\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
