If that host shuts the worker down while a turn is running, the result Claude Code reports now has a documented outcome for this case. The turn is left for the session's next worker to pick up.\n\nWhen a worker shuts down, it can now release its lease. The lease is the worker's claim on the session. It does this when the client disconnected partway through a turn. There is also a new way to close a worker and release its lease so another worker can take over. Before, shutting down never released the lease.\n\n**Why**\n\nRemote and cloud sessions can move more cleanly from one worker to another when a host shuts down in the middle of a turn.\n\n- Area: Cloud Sessions\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
