When you resume a session, Claude Code no longer restores a saved MCP task that used the 2025-11-25 tasks protocol. It deletes that task's saved record and writes a log line saying the protocol is no longer supported. The task is not cancelled on the server.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you resume a session that had such a task running, Claude Code stops following it, and the server may keep running it. Check the server yourself if you need to stop that task or collect its result.\n\n- Area: MCP\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: yes"}
