When an approval comes with permission changes to save, Claude Code now counts how many stricter rules would be lost. Stricter rules are ones that block an action or narrow it. If any would be lost, Claude Code does not issue the approval. Before this build the approval was always issued.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis is a safety guard.
