When managed settings include `allowedProviders`, Claude Code may now work out an `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL` value itself and apply it. `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL` is the address Claude Code sends its requests to.\n\nThis happens only when certain conditions hold, including that no other settings source supplies environment variables. If the managed settings set `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL` themselves, their value wins. Before, Claude Code applied only the environment variables listed in the managed settings.\n\n**Why**\n\nIn organisations that use managed settings, the address Claude Code sends requests to may now be set without anyone writing it into the settings. That changes where requests go.\n\n- Area: Managed Settings\n- Names: `allowedProviders`, `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL`\n- Tier: Use it now\n- Useful: 4\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: org\n- Heads-up: yes"}
