A turn is one round of Claude working on your request. When this happens inside the same running Claude Code process, Claude Code now:\n\n- stops the turn that was in progress\n\n- waits up to 2 seconds for it to finish stopping\n\n- does not send any messages that were still queued after that\n\nText you typed for a message that was not sent is kept in your input history, which you can bring back with the up arrow key. Claude Code tells you it was not sent.\n\nBefore, queued messages were carried over and nothing stopped the running turn.\n\n**Why**\n\nPressing left arrow in the middle of a turn now interrupts that turn instead of racing with it. Watch for messages you queued just before backgrounding: they may not be sent, and you will need to recall them from history and send them again.\n\n- Flag `tengu_bg_leftarrow_inprocess`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.296; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Sessions\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: yes"}
