It can now also carry an optional snippet of text from the page.\n\nHooks are your own commands that Claude Code runs at set moments. A `PostToolUse` hook runs after a tool call succeeds, and those hooks receive the snippet. The tool result that goes back into the conversation does not include it.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you write hooks, you can now look at page text from search results, not just titles and links.
