The SDK is the toolkit that lets another program run Claude Code. If the answer holds too many updates, rules and directories in total, Claude Code either refuses it or cuts it down, depending on the permission-prompt mode.\n\nThere is also new behaviour for a `can_use_tool` ask, which is a permission question still waiting for an answer from that program. Claude Code now checks the waiting question again when the permission state changes. If a rule or the current mode now allows the action, the question is answered automatically. This only runs when a remote switch is on. When last read, the flag server returned that switch off for this site's account.\n\n**Why**\n\nVery large permission updates from a host program now have a limit. When the switch is on, a permission question that has gone stale can also resolve itself instead of waiting for an answer that is no longer needed.\n\n- Flag `tengu_drifting_dream`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.295; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: SDK\n- Names: `updatedPermissions`\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: yes"}
