Before deleting one, it checks again that the folder has not changed and belongs to you. It refuses to delete when the folder is shared or is a link to somewhere else.\n\nThe step counts how many folders it removed, how many it held back, how many errors it hit, and whether it refused. These counts are added to the usage data the routine already sends. If the step fails, Claude Code logs that it did not run and carries on.\n\n**Why**\n\nOld folders of this kind no longer pile up, and the extra checks keep the cleanup from deleting a folder that something else is using.\n\n- Flag `tengu_hipaa_history_retention_prune`: On for this account, and not off by default (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.295; this account: on, anonymous baseline: on, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Session Cleanup\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
