One of the places where it scans for these files now lists only two kinds:\n\n- Managed files, set up by an administrator.\n\n- User files, from your own home settings.\n\nThat scan no longer includes the project `CLAUDE.md`, the local `CLAUDE.local.md`, or the files from directories added with `--add-dir`. It also no longer checks `CLAUDE_CODE_ADDITIONAL_DIRECTORIES_CLAUDE_MD`, the environment variable that turns on loading memory files from those added directories.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis scan now reads fewer files.
