When Claude calls a tool from one of them named `start_task`, Claude Code now does extra work around the call:\n\n- Checks the input first and refuses input that is not valid.\n\n- Prepares and uploads any attached files before the call, then cleans up afterwards. This happens only when the call includes a non-empty list of files.\n\n- Adds an extra note to the prompt when running in remote mode.\n\n- Gets the input ready before you are asked to approve the call.\n\nFor these calls with files, Claude Code also leaves trailing XML tags in the input instead of stripping them. Error messages such as \"start_task file input rejected\" or \"start_task files not sent after the approval\" appear when this fails. Separately, Claude Code now lists MCP tools through an extra preparation step.\n\n**Why**\n\nFiles you attach can now reach a `start_task` tool on remote MCP servers that connect over HTTP. The preparation before approval applies only to some HTTP servers.\n\n- Flag `tengu_mcp_strip_trailing_xml_tags`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.293; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: MCP\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
