The copy of each call that hooks and the session transcript see now carries a `recipient_kind` field, which is one of `session`, `main`, `agent` or `name`. Hooks are your own scripts that Claude Code runs when a tool is used. Before, that copy held only the type, the recipient and the content.\n\nSome fields are now removed from that copy, and the types of the values are checked.\n\nMessages to cloud sessions and Remote Control sessions are now delivered through a new routing path.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you have hooks or tools that read `SendMessage` calls, they now get a field saying what sort of recipient a message is for, and they may see fewer fields than before.\n\n- Area: Hooks\n- Names: `recipient_kind`\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
