At startup Claude Code now reads a server-controlled switch. When the switch is on, and the session does not prepare itself, Claude Code passes a different value into its startup step and does not fetch managed settings ahead of time. Before, that startup step always ran the same way. The switch is off unless it is turned on remotely.\n\nThere is also a message for when managed settings need you to approve them but Claude Code cannot ask: \"Your organization's managed settings need your approval, which couldn't be asked for here.\"\n\n**Why**\n\nThis affects when your organization's managed settings are loaded at startup. If you see the approval message, your organization's settings are waiting for your approval in a place where Claude Code cannot show the question.\n\n- Flag `tengu_quizzical_giraffe`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.292; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_playful_panda`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.292; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_level_wren`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.292; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_zany_flask`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.292; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Managed Settings\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: org\n- Heads-up: no\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
