The family names it recognises are:\n\n- Fable\n\n- Haiku\n\n- Mythos\n\n- Opus\n\n- Sonnet\n\nIt reports a family name only if that name appears on a list Claude Code receives from Anthropic's servers. Fable is the exception and is always reported. When the server sends no list, no family is allowed except Fable.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis lets Anthropic decide from its side which family names Claude Code shows, without shipping a new release. Fable appears among the names and does not depend on the list.\n\n- Flag `tengu_calm_seal`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.292; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Models\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
