In this release it simply returns false (`return !1;`) and no longer asks the server.\n\n- The helper sits at the minified (shortened, machine-generated) name `mme`. That name is reused for several unrelated pieces of code, and the parts of Claude Code that call this particular helper were not traced.\n\n- The fallback was already false before this release.\n\n**Why**\n\nWhatever depends on this helper is now off for everyone running this build, and a server-side switch can no longer turn it on. Which feature that is has not been identified.\n\n- Flag `tengu_calm_bear`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.290; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Internals\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
