Claude Code now loads the agent's definition from its plugin before starting it, in both cases:\n\n- a teammate, an agent started to work alongside the main one\n\n- a subagent, a helper Claude starts for a single task\n\nBefore, only subagents loaded the definition this way, and teammates used it as it was. If loading fails, Claude Code stops with an error saying the agent could not be loaded from its plugin. When choosing what kind of teammate to start, Claude Code can also now find the agent by its name.\n\n**Why**\n\nAgents that come from plugins should now work as teammates, and a plugin that fails to load gives a clear error instead of a confusing failure.\n\n- Area: Agent Teams\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
