A turn is one round of you asking and Claude answering. That breakdown is now finer:\n\n- Resume phases: the single `turn_start_resume` phase is replaced by `resume_other`, `resume_store_confirm`, `resume_staged_files_wait` and `resume_connector_wait`. Older versions still report the single `turn_start_resume` key.\n\n- New phases: `turn_start_tool_run` and `system_prompt_rebuild` are added.\n\n- Input phases: processing your input is now marked in four steps, `input_hooks`, `input_attachments`, `input_images` and `input_command`.\n\n- Resume kind: a new `turn_start_resume_kind` field says why the turn resumed, one of `orphaned_permission`, `turn_handoff`, `deferred_tool_use` or `none`.\n\n- Pasted content: text you paste is now passed into attachment building as `pastedContents`.\n\n- Compression: the record kept when gzip compression falls back now includes `gzipBlocks`. A new `ccs_container_monitor` entry also appears in a list.\n\nThe data is produced in remote sessions (`CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE`) and on hosts that set `CLAUDE_CODE_EMIT_STARTUP_TIMING`.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you read these timings, delays before the first model request can now be traced to a narrower step. Anything that reads the `turn_start_resume` key should expect the new names from this version.\n\n- Area: Telemetry\n- Tier: Under the hood\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 0\/5"}
