Claude Code can hold some of those tools back until they are needed, finding them through tool search instead of listing them all to Claude up front.\n\nWhen a server's configuration sets `alwaysLoad` to `false`, Claude Code now marks that server as holding back all of its tools. Before, it worked out only whether `alwaysLoad` was on. Each tool listed this way also carries an identifier for the server it came from.\n\n**Why**\n\nWriting `alwaysLoad: false` explicitly now means something of its own, rather than behaving the same as leaving the option out.\n\n- Flag `tengu_mcp_legacy_url_elicitation`: On for this account, and not off by default (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.287; this account: on, anonymous baseline: on, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_mcp_strip_trailing_xml_tags`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.287; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: MCP\n- Names: `alwaysLoad`\n- Tier: Use it now\n- Useful: 4\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5"}
