Before this change, a tool call failed if that host was lost partway through. Claude Code can now hold the call open and wait for the host to come back before it treats the call as failed.\n\nWhile it waits, Claude Code shows a status line. The line says it is waiting, that the wait has ended, or that it gave up.\n\nThis behaviour only runs when a server-side switch is turned on. In readings taken before this release, that switch came back on both for this site's account and for an anonymous account.\n\n**Why**\n\nA short network drop no longer has to throw away a tool call that was nearly done. The call can carry on once the host is back.\n\n- Flag `tengu_violin_waist`: Off by default, switched on for this account (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.287; this account: on, anonymous baseline: on, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Remote Tools\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5"}
