In that case Claude Code turns off the plugins from it that are not at the commit the entry lists. It does this in every place settings can come from:\n\n- user settings\n\n- project settings\n\n- local settings\n\n- managed (organization) settings\n\n- files passed with `--settings`\n\n- folders passed with `--add-dir`\n\nIf some plugins cannot be turned off, the command refuses with a detailed error. It also leaves the entry in `known_marketplaces.json` instead of deleting it.\n\nWhen you switch from one plugin to another, Claude Code now also copies the plugin's options across: its `pluginConfigs`, its `pluginSecrets` and its data folder.\n\n**Why**\n\nRemoving one of these entries can no longer leave plugins running from a marketplace that has gone. Switching plugins keeps your saved configuration and secrets instead of making you enter them again.\n\n- Area: Plugins\n- Names: `claude plugin marketplace remove`\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5"}
