That offer was reworked:\n\n- Remote config: a new remote setting, `tengu_hidden_volcano`, holds `enabled`, `form` (`line` or `dialog`), `families`, `maxAsks`, `minHoursBetween` and `words`. Its fallback is empty, so the offer does not appear unless the setting is sent. Nothing has been read about this setting.\n\n- Two forms: the offer is either a notification showing the `chat:defaultToNewerModel` key hint, or a dialog. You can accept, decline or dismiss it.\n\n- Wording: the prompt now reads \"You\u2019re resuming {an} {older} session.\" followed by \"Press `{key}` to continue with `{newer}`.\"\n\n- Who sees it: the suggestion (`tengu_newer_model_suggestion`) no longer checks your plan, zero data retention (ZDR) or `allow_promo_offers`. It now gives way to whichever announcement wins the single announcement slot, and it requires the `form` value from remote config.\n\n- How often it asks: accepting now resets the ask count and last-asked time to zero. Any other outcome adds one ask and records the time. Counts are kept per newer model. A model you previously chose to keep no longer stops the offer; only `maxAsks` and `minHoursBetween` do.\n\n- Errors: if showing the offer during resume fails, the failure is now recorded and passed on, and the offer can add and remove notifications.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you decline or keep your current model, you may be asked again later, up to the configured limit and spacing. Accepting starts the count over.\n\n- Flag `tengu_hidden_volcano`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.287; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Models\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
