A flag is an option you type after the command. It still works. Claude Code still exits if it cannot load the signed configuration document or if the document does not cover the selected model. The `CLAUDE_CODE_CLIENT_DATA_URL` environment variable still keeps the URL out of the process list.\n\n**Why**\n\nIf you already use the flag, nothing changes.
