Claude Code now has a path for when an organization's network policy applies to a session. When it does:\n\n- Relay: the route to the artifact service is forced into its strict mode and nothing is sent through it.\n\n- Artifact tools: they refuse, saying network access for the session is off or could not be confirmed, so nothing was posted or fetched.\n\n- Storage refusals: a refusal from the server saying organization policy blocks artifact storage for the session is recognised only in this case.\n\nThis path is tied to a server-side switch. The flag server has returned off for it, both for this site's account and for an anonymous check.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis gives organizations a way to stop artifact tools from using the network, with a clear message instead of a vague failure.\n\n- Flag `tengu_cobalt_plinth_madder`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.287; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: not a boolean we can read) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_cobalt_plinth_sorrel`: On for this account, and not off by default (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.287; this account: on, anonymous baseline: on, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Artifacts\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5"}
