That pass can now add a note about stale information to the instructions it follows. It also records three more measurements: how large the conversation it came from was, whether the conversation was compacted (shortened) during the pass, and whether the stale note was included.\n\nMemory extraction is still behind the same remote switch, which defaults to off. The flag server returned off for this site's account and for the anonymous baseline. No reading has been taken under this release yet.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis changes what the memory extraction pass is told, which can affect what it chooses to remember.\n\n- Flag `tengu_passport_quail`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.286; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Memory\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 2\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
