A worktree is an extra working folder attached to a git repository. When such a folder is deleted, git can keep a record of it. This command reads a list of those worktrees, given as JSON, and removes git's records of them.\n\nThe command will not run in two cases:\n\n- When it is run by hand in a terminal.\n\n- Inside a Claude Code session, which it detects through `CLAUDE_CODE_CHILD_SESSION`.\n\n**Why**\n\nThe VS Code extension now cleans up deleted worktrees through Claude Code itself.
