It can now start those commands without a controlling terminal, meaning the command is not attached to the terminal window you are typing in. The helper also refuses to start a command while Claude Code is shutting down. In that case it reports that the process was not started because Claude Code was exiting, and suggests trying again after it restarts.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis is an internal reliability change.
