That check now also looks at the mode that was active before a rewrite. Separately, a helper that used to read text line by line, skipping blank lines and comment lines starting with `#`, has been reworked. It now sits behind a server-side switch, and the code treats that switch as off when the server sends nothing. The message timestamps option in settings is also still controlled by a server-side switch.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis could change how auto mode behaves in some cases.\n\n- Flag `tengu_sleepy_rabbit`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.285; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_silk_hinge`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.285; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Auto Mode\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 2\/5\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
