Claude Code now reads such an image only if its image data really is text. A media type that is not text is ignored. The code that looks for file paths in the Write and Edit tools also now copes with badly formed message content.\n\n**Why**\n\nA damaged image in a saved conversation or in data sent through the SDK should no longer crash image extraction.
