Claude Code has a new way of finding git on PATH, the list of folders your system searches for programs:\n\n- On Windows, if the `git` it finds is not a `.exe` or `.com` file, it tries `git.exe` instead. If that is not a real program either, git is treated as missing. Script wrappers such as `git.cmd` and `git.bat` are skipped.\n\n- The \"git not found\" errors for these uploads now end with a Windows-only note explaining this: \"(only git.exe counts; git.cmd and git.bat wrappers are skipped)\".\n\n- When the upload fails because git is not on PATH, or with `git_error`, the failure report now includes `git_script_wrapper_only`. It is set when no real git program was found but a `git` wrapper script was.\n\n**Why**\n\nSome Windows setups, such as scoop or other wrapper tools, provide git only as a `.cmd` script. On those machines uploads to a cloud session fail.
