You can now have a new bundled skill write live mods that reload inside your session once you agree. A mod is a plugin that adds panes, status lines, toasts or hooks to Claude Code. Cloud sessions started with `claude --cloud` can now use the MCP servers on your machine after you allow it. Setting `CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE_TOOLS_FORWARD` to true lets Bash, Edit and Write calls run on an attached machine. The new `--client-data-url` flag loads a signed per-model configuration from Anthropic. Claude Code will not start if that configuration fails to load.

Sixteen additions are in the build but not switched on yet. A `GetTask` tool that reports on background shell commands stays off until it is switched on remotely. Compacting a long idle conversation before its one-hour prompt cache expires is also off by default. Auto mode gains an option to check Chrome clicks as well as page navigation, but it is not switched on. Remote Control can offer this machine's folder and tools to cloud sessions only behind a server switch that is off.

Among the fixes, Remote Control now works for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise users who turned telemetry off. If you quit while a local MCP server is still connecting, Claude Code now stops that server instead of leaving it running. MCP servers built on Java MCP SDK 0.17.0 or older now connect after one automatic retry. Git diffs now run with `--no-color`, so git settings that force colour no longer garble them. Skill names starting `claude-ai:` are no longer mapped to `anthropic-skills:`. `CLAUDE_CODE_DIR_SYNC_CHAIN` is no longer read, because cloud directory sync now always sends changes as linked bundles.
