Commands such as `dd` (delete a line), `cc` (change a line) and `yy` (copy a line) can take a count, so `3dd` deletes three lines.\n\nWhen the count is above one and the cursor is on the last line, these commands now do nothing. Before, they always ran regardless of where the cursor was. Vim behaves the same way.
