If you install a plugin, or one of the plugins it depends on, and its id is malformed, Claude Code now shows an error that says:\n\n- which half of `plugin@marketplace` is invalid\n\n- which characters are allowed\n\n- that the marketplace's maintainer can rename it\n\nFor the npm marketplace, the error says the first half is not a package name that marketplace accepts.\n\n**Why**\n\nThe message tells you the fix is not on your side: the marketplace's maintainer has to rename the plugin.\n\n- Area: Plugins\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5"}
