When Claude Code connects to one, it sends an `initialize` request listing what it supports. It can now include support for elicitation, a way for the server to ask you for input through a URL or a form.\n\nTwo flags control this. `tengu_mcp_legacy_url_elicitation` has a fallback value of false. `tengu_mcp_legacy_url_elicitation_server_denylist` lists servers that should not be offered it. The capability is sent only when all of these are true:\n\n- the first flag is on\n\n- the server is not on the denylist\n\n- the connection type is stdio, sse, http or ws\n\nThe `initialize` request is rewritten on its way out so that it reflects the denylist decision. The flag server returned off for this site's account and for an anonymous check.\n\n**Why**\n\nWhen enabled, MCP servers that use this older style of asking for input could request it from you through Claude Code, while specific servers can still be excluded.\n\n- Flag `tengu_mcp_legacy_url_elicitation`: Off in both readings (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.281; this account: off, anonymous baseline: off, compiled default: off) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: MCP\n- Tier: Nothing to try yet\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 4\/5\n- Present in the build but not switched on"}
