A gate is a server-controlled switch, and its fallback is the value used when the server gives no answer.\n\n- \"Show status in terminal tab\" in `\/config` is still behind `tengu_terminal_sidebar`, which falls back to off\n\n- the Claude API tip is still behind `tengu_kestrel_arch`, which falls back to \"off\"\n\n- the Chrome classifier floor still reads `CLAUDE_CHROME_CLASSIFIER_FLOOR` first and otherwise `tengu_cowork_chrome_automode_default`, which falls back to off\n\nIn an earlier release, the flag server returned on for `tengu_cowork_chrome_automode_default`, both for this site's account and for the anonymous baseline, even though its fallback is off.
