Now it calls a new helper that retries checking for and removing the stuck file a few times, and logs what happened along the way.\n\n**Why**\n\nThis makes cleanup after a failed staged-file creation more reliable, since a single unlogged attempt could leave a stuck file behind with no record of what went wrong.
